2. General Information

This privacy policy informs you about which personal data we collect when you visit our online shop, and how this data is processed. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally.

3. Hosting via Shopify

Our online shop is hosted by Shopify International Limited (Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland) ("Shopify"). On our behalf, Shopify processes all data required to operate and display the shop and to process orders, including:

  • IP address
  • date and time of the server request
  • browser type and version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL

This data is automatically recorded in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free and secure operation of the shop). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Shopify. As Shopify may process data outside the EU, such transfers are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. Cookies

Our shop uses cookies — small text files stored on your device.

  • Technically necessary cookies (e.g. for the shopping cart, login) are used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, as they are required for the operation of the shop.
  • Analytics and marketing cookies (see Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and TikTok Pixel below) are only set with your prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Sec. 25 TTDSG). You can withdraw or adjust your consent at any time via our cookie consent banner.

5. Orders and Customer Accounts

When you place an order with us, we collect the data necessary to process the contract:

  • name, address, email address, phone number
  • order and payment details
  • details of a customer account, if applicable

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures). This data is retained for the duration of statutory retention periods (generally 6–10 years under German commercial and tax law).

6. Payment Processing via PayPal

We offer PayPal as a payment method. The provider is PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg ("PayPal"). If you select PayPal, the payment details you enter will be transmitted to PayPal.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). Further information can be found in PayPal's privacy policy: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full

7. Payment Processing via Shopify Payments

We also offer credit card payment via Shopify Payments, a payment service provided by Shopify International Limited (Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland) ("Shopify"). Shopify Payments processes credit card payments using the infrastructure of Stripe, Inc., 354 Oyster Point Blvd, South San Francisco, CA 94080, USA, as its payment processing partner.

If you choose to pay by credit card, the payment details you enter (card number, expiry date, security code) are transmitted directly and securely to Shopify Payments/Stripe. We do not have access to your full card details ourselves.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). As payment data may be processed in the United States, this transfer is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, Stripe's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
